Yay! Several days ago I started working on my first Twitter bot, .
I’m using Tweetinvi, which is a C# library for REST and Stream API. The repository can be found on GitHub here.
There aren’t many C# libraries for creating bots, so this was the best choice even though it hasn’t been updated much.
What does my Twitter bot do?
I like Twitter. I like certain basketball players. And I think some bots are entertaining.
Put these all together. You get my BallPlayerBot.
The bot will basically retweet current events which includes certain players such as Lebron James, Steph Curr and Kyrie Ervin just to name a few.
Current Bot Status
The bot is partially working. I can create tweets with it, but I’m unable to stream retweets. I haven’t figured it out yet, but I’m still doing a bit of research.
There are many instructions in the library, but unfortunately not enough specifics on certain objects. I’ll get there though. It’s almost completed.
Knowing my luck, I’m probably just missing one statement LOL.
I’ll update this post once I’ve figured out how to run the bot my way. If you know what I’m doing wrong, please let me know!
